Do not make these mistakes even by forgetting in the month of Sawan


Dharmik: The month of Sawan is very dear to Lord Bholenath. It is said in the scriptures that Lord Shiva becomes pleased sooner in the month of Sawan than on other days. Although every Monday is considered suitable for the worship of Lord Shiva, but the Monday of Sawan has a different significance.

This year the month of Sawan will start from 14th July and will continue till 12th August. The special importance of worshiping Bholenath in the month of Sawan has been told. It is said that by worshiping Shiva this month, every obstacle in life can be removed.

Performing water abhishek on Shivling in this month gives manifold benefits. During worship, many times we make some mistakes, in such a situation, special care should be taken while worshiping Lord Shiva.

Don’t apply turmeric

Shivling is related to the male element, so turmeric should never be offered to Shiva or Shivling. You can offer Belpatra, cannabis, Gangajal, milk, sandalwood, ashes etc. to Shivling in Sawan.

Don’t touch shivling


According to the scriptures, women should never touch the Shivling while worshiping Lord Shiva. There are beliefs that Mata Parvati gets angry when women touch the Shivling.

Don’t wear black


If you are observing a fast on Monday in the month of Sawan, do not wear black colored clothes. Black color symbolizes negativity. It is considered good to wear red or yellow colored clothes while worshiping Bholenath. Wearing green colored clothes in the month of Sawan would also be good.

Don’t eat these things


Women should not forget to consume brinjal, leafy vegetables, garlic, onion, meat or alcohol in the month of Sawan. Eat sattvik food instead of tamasic food

Don’t slander or hurt anyone

Any fast means that we should do spiritual practice physically and mentally and control our senses. Do not do evil to anyone and do not slander during the month of Sawan. By doing this, the fruit of the fast is not obtained.
